Had my Baby Boy
Only a quick one as there is not much to say really.
On the day of the section we got to hospital just before 7am.
We saw all the people we needed to before the section. I was told I was 2nd on the list. which was good as I didn't fancy having to wait till the afternoon to eat again.
Half 9 I think it was I get walked round to theatre, had to wait a little as there was someone in there and 1 emergency. Was not waiting long though. I don't know if it didn't feel long because I was just excited to be finally getting him out or because I generally was not waiting long.
Got in there. and if you've had an section before you know what they do.
Put the spinal in the back wait for it to start working. They spray a cold substance on your side to make sure it is doing what it is meant to.
The time seemed to fly by while I was in there, the doctor was nice, in looks as well as personality.
I don't remember my section feeling the same as it did this time round.
defiantly felt more pressure and tugging. I could feel one of the nurses pushing on my bump to help get baby out.
I started crying when I heard him cry. I couldn't help myself. After the last 5 6 weeks it was a relief to hear him cry for the first time.
He was on February 21st at 10:35am weighing 6lb 14oz.
The recovery has been ok.
I did have to have my dressing changed due to bleeding.
The midwife I had the evening I had a my baby boy didn't seem to understand that it was a really struggle for me to actually pick up my son. Yet she made me feel so made for struggling and made me get on with it.
The midwife I had the day after was the same one I had the day I had my son, so that was handy and she was lovely.
She said that the reason why the scar/cut bleed like it did was because I did too much too soon.
Luckily she couldn't see where the bleeding had come from and it looked like it was healing well.
Hard to tell 24 hours after having a section.
I am finding that I can move round a bit better this time round still hurts quite a bit though.
